What size hot water system do I need for a family. 

 When you're deciding what size hot water system to install, there are a few things to consider.

For example, how many people live in your home? And how many of those people like to take long showers? If your family is small and you have a smaller space, you might want to choose a smaller hot water system. But if you have a larger family that likes to take longer showers, go with a larger one.

Another thing to consider is the number of bedrooms in your house.

3-bedroom house can have a water system between 125L to 250L.

4-bedroom house can have a hot water system between 250-315l.

And finally, if you have 5 or more bedrooms in your home, you might want to get an even bigger hot water system that's between 315L and 400L!

Which hot water system is most efficient? 

If you're looking for a way to save money on your heating bill, then a heat pump hot water heater is the way to go.

Heat pump water heaters are highly efficient and use 30% of the energy of a conventional electric hot water system. These systems use a refrigeration cycle to extract heat from the air to heat the water. They can be used in any climate because they work based on temperature differential rather than ambient temperature alone.

You can also use your solar power system to heat your normal electric hot water by installing a timer into your power box and heating the hot water system during the day between 9am-5pm when your solar panels are producing power.
